About the Rotate PDF

Rotate PDF turns pages that were scanned or exported sideways or upside down, and saves them that way, so the file opens the right way up everywhere. Turn every page at once, or only the pages that need it with the buttons under each thumbnail. Only each page's rotation setting changes; text, links, bookmarks and form fields stay exactly as they were.

PDFs are processed in your browser (pdf-lib, PDF.js and, for passwords, QPDF compiled to WebAssembly), so contracts, invoices and scans never leave your device.

How to use the Rotate PDF

  1. Drop a PDF onto the box or choose a file.
  2. Click Rotate left or Rotate right to turn every page, or use the buttons under single pages.
  3. Check the thumbnails: they show each page as it will be saved.
  4. Click Rotate PDF and download the file.

Common mistakes

  • Rotating in the viewer only. Turning a page in a browser or PDF reader usually changes only your view. Save the rotation into the file here before you send or upload it.
  • Sideways text that is part of a scan. Rotation turns the whole page. If only a photo or table inside the page is sideways, rotating the page turns everything else too.

Frequently asked questions

How do I rotate just one page of a PDF?

Use the rotate buttons under that page's thumbnail and leave the others alone. Only the pages you turned change; the counter shows how many will be rotated.

Will the rotation be saved permanently?

Yes. Rotating in a PDF viewer usually only changes the view, but this tool writes the new rotation into the file, so it opens turned in every reader, on every device.

Does rotating reduce quality?

No. Pages are not redrawn: the PDF simply records that the page is shown turned by 90, 180 or 270 degrees, so the content is untouched and text stays selectable.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The file is read, rotated and saved by your browser.
