About the JPG & PNG to PDF

JPG & PNG to PDF turns photos, screenshots and scans into one PDF, one image per page. Reorder the images, then choose A4, US Letter or pages the same size as each image, the orientation and a margin. Upright JPEG and PNG files are placed in the PDF as they are, without re-compression, and phone photos are turned the right way up automatically.

PDFs are processed in your browser with pdf-lib and PDF.js, so contracts, invoices and scans never leave your device.

How to use the JPG & PNG to PDF

  1. Drop JPG, PNG or WebP images onto the box, paste them, or choose files.
  2. Drag the rows or use the arrows to set the page order.
  3. Choose the page size, orientation and margin, and optionally a file name.
  4. Click Create PDF and download the file.

Common mistakes

  • Huge phone photos in a PDF. A 12-megapixel photo is several megabytes, and the PDF holds it in full. Resize or compress the photos first, or run the PDF through Compress PDF afterwards.
  • Wrong page order from file names. Files are added in the order your system lists them. Check the numbered list and reorder before creating the PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Does converting reduce image quality?

No for upright JPEG and PNG files: they are embedded byte for byte. Other formats (WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF) are converted to lossless PNG first, and rotated phone photos are redrawn upright at high quality.

What does Auto orientation do?

Each page turns to match its image: landscape photos get landscape pages and portrait photos portrait pages, so the image fills as much of the page as possible.

Which page size should I choose?

A4 is standard almost everywhere outside North America, US Letter in the US and Canada. "Same as image" makes each page exactly the image's size, which suits screenshots and on-screen reading.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The PDF is built in your browser and saved straight to your device.
