Devtoolry

Roadmap

These features are planned for the SEO tools. They are not live yet for one reason: they need paid data, and Devtoolry wants to keep every tool free. Here is what each one will do, why it is waiting, and what you can use today.

In short: both features run on paid keyword and search data that costs about $50 to start, and more as usage grows. They go live when Devtoolry has enough visitors to cover that cost, or enough of you ask for them.

Keyword Overview: search volume, CPC, competition and trend

Type a keyword and see how many people search for it each month, the 12-month trend, what advertisers pay per click (CPC), and how much advertising competition there is, for the country you choose.

Why it is not live yet: monthly search volumes and CPC come only from Google's advertising data or paid keyword databases. Neither can be scraped or guessed honestly, and we will not show made-up numbers. The data costs about $50 to start, and more as more people use it, so it needs either enough visitors to cover that cost or people who want it enough to support it.

When: once Devtoolry has enough regular visitors, or enough of you ask for it. Results will be cached so the feature can stay free for everyday use.

Keyword Difficulty: how hard a keyword is to rank for

A 0–100 score that estimates how hard it is to reach Google's first page for a keyword. It will look at the pages ranking today: how strong their sites are, whether they target the exact keyword in the title and URL, whether forums and small sites rank (a sign of an easier keyword), and which search features (AI overviews, featured snippets) push results down.

Why it is not live yet: the score needs the current top 10 results for every keyword checked, and Google does not offer that for free. It uses the same paid data account as Keyword Overview (about $50 to start), and every keyword checked costs a little more. We will publish exactly how the score is calculated, so you know what it means, rather than a black-box number.

When: after Keyword Overview, on the same terms: enough visitors, or enough requests.

Use these today

  • Keyword Generator: hundreds of real searches from Google, Bing, YouTube and DuckDuckGo, with intent, and your own Search Console impressions and positions.
  • Keyword Clustering Tool: turn a keyword list into topic clusters, pillar pages and a content brief.
  • Search Console Analyzer: your real demand, with page-two keywords and low-CTR titles to fix first.

Want these sooner?

Tell us which feature you would use and what for: requests decide what we build next. Sharing Devtoolry with people who might find it useful brings the visitors that make paid data affordable, and a coffee helps pay for it directly.
